Eve McDonnell

Eve is a children’s author and artist who lives halfway up a hill in Co Wexford. With her hands already full with paintbrushes, twins, a stray cat and a dog, a mysterious fortune-teller once told her to pick up a pen and Write! Write! Write! She listened, and now, on the rare occasion where she’s not scribbling a story, Eve enjoys painting everything from rather grown up pieces to children’s murals.

She is the author of middle-grade novels published by Everything With Words, including Elsetime and the Carnegie Medal nominated The Chestnut Roaster, a Guardian Book of The Year and Times Books of The Week.

The best part of Eve’s job is facilitating creative writing workshops in libraries, schools, writing clubs and festivals.
